Summary: These days, there's an app for just about everything. You'd have a shorter time counting what isn't condensed on your little digital phone. But what if we told you there was an app that could predict your demise, and condemn you for daring to defy that?

History: The Countdown app is said to be able to count how much time you have left before something takes your life. Some choose to defy this upon seeing the obvious signs, but then they are killed by an unseen entity for "violating the user agreement". As it turns out, the app is a vessel for a vicious demon known as Ozhin, who's been pulling this "here's the exact time of your death" schtick for centuries when all we had was fortune tellers and paper. And it will kill, no matter how much you try to defy its precious app which, by the way, can download itself into your phone whether you like it or not.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Ohzin is seemingly driven away when some folks cheat death before their time is up. However, the demon merely decides to take the form of a Countdown 2.0 app to compensate.

Powers/Abilities: Can predict the exact time people die, and make sure of it should they defy fate. It can also shapeshift, preferably into a person's loved ones.

Weakness: Should someone die before or after their time is up exactly, Ozhin's hold over their fates will be broken. Circles of salt also ward him off.

Scariness Factor: 4.5-It's bad enough that this ugly thing has put itself in an app that fills the viewer with endless dread, but then it just twists the knife even further by punishing people for trying to live anyway. Also, its shapeshifting antics are just mean-spirited.

Trivia: -Apparently, at least one person tried to make a real Countdown app for a fictional time of death for people. That is, by all means, an AWFUL idea. No one needs that kind of anxiety in their lives.

-It is possible that Ozhin was inspired by the Shinigami, Japanese death spirits that are said to lead people to what will get them into the afterlife. Just how malevolent they are depends on the legend, but sometimes, they are actually quite helpful. One of the most famous pop culture Shinigami is Ryuk from the "Death Note" franchise, who instigates the events of the story just because he got bored.
